My granddaughter loves the doll, she swims and fun to play with, Every little girl at the pool wants one and just can't believe the doll can swim.
Caution, after the pool, take out the batteries and let the doll dry with a fan, so an adult needs to make should this is taken care of, or the doll will not swim the next time in the pool.
Love the doll!!! |
Daughter loves it!

I read the negative reviews but my daughter really wanted it and I gave in when she became a big sister! She takes her swimming about 3-5 days a week for the past month and so without problems thus far. As soon she is done playing I do keep her upright to dry out but we haven't even had to replace the batteries yet so I'm pleased.
Hysterical

My stepdaughter got this for her bday and we (the adults) were hysterical for the first two minutes straight that she was playing with it. It looked so REAL and moved through the water easily. My SD loves this baby and now that she has tried it in the pool, she can't wait to try it in the tub. I have a feeling this is a toy that will be around until she outgrows dolls. The only downside is that she tends to want to move the arms and legs around on her own and I'm not sure if that could negatively affect the gears.
Not great

This doll is really cute, and when you put her in the water she swims, which is entertaining for a minute. But then when my daughter wants to pick her up and play with her and make her swim on her own, the doll won't stop kicking her legs and moving her arms. It is overall frustrating, and I feel like it takes something away from the imagination of the child when the toy does too much on its own.
Disappointed

I bought this baby doll for my daughter. I was very excited about it because I thought it would help her feel more relaxed about getting in the pool. She is two and very cautious about the pool. She does love the baby but I was disappointed(she loves all baby dolls no matter how ugly or how functional, she is only two). It only swims on it's belly so you can't see her face while she is swimming, you only see the top of the doll's head. I wouldn't have known that it blows bubbles if I didn't read it on the package. Then the swimming isn't really anything very impressive. If the legs or arms are not in the right position it swims very awkwardly. There is a cheaper doll at walmart made by little dreams that swims on its belly and back. I think I am going to try and return this one and get that instead. The accessories aren't as cute but I think it will be better. I have gotten her little dreams baby dolls in the past and been very satisfied.
